First Aid

First aid is the core activity of St John Malawi and it can be described as being a service.

Commercial First Aid

This is an income generating activity for St John because of a fee attached to some selected courses to companies and other government institutions.

The course is conducted by highly trained and qualified trainers by the Assessors College of South Africa. Click here for a list of companies that have been trained.

Schools Program

St John Malawi has been running the first aid in schools program for 5 years in Blantyre. Our objective is to create a future generation that will have first aid knowledge and skills to reduce the current lack of proper care to the injured and ill people which is leading to further medical complications and loss of lives.

Upon completion of the course, the participants become members of the St John family and a first aid club is established to retain the members and promote practicing of the skills.

First Aid Service

Apart from providing trainings, first aid service is also provided at public meetings for example at sporting events, crusades and many more events. With volunteers that have undergone intensive training and refreshers make the service other companies can benchmark on.
